研究课题
1. Mechanisms for insect resistances in insect pests
The regulation mechanisms of detoxification enzyme expression (P450s, ESTs, GSTs, UGTs, ABCs, etc.): The researches are focused on regulation net of transcription factors and the signal pathways involved in the expression regulation of detoxification enzyme genes in insect pests.
The characteristics and function of flavin-containing monooxygenase (FMO) in insects: The researches are focused on metabolism of endogenous and xenobiotic compounds by insect FMOs and also on the regulation role and mechanisms of insect FMOs in lipid metabolism.
2. Discovery of novel targets from the control of insect pests and the innovative technologies for insect control
a) The mode of action of flonicamid: The interest is focused on the function of inward-rectifying potassium channels from insects, the physiological function of Kir channels in renal excretion and salivary excretion and the high throughput screening for novel insecticides targeting at insect Kir channels.
3. Pesticide formulation and application technologies in field
Studies on formulations of spreading oil on water surface to control rice insect pests. The main aim is to develop simple and convenient formulations used to control rice pest. Studies on ultra low volume liquid of pesticide formulation and the application of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in plant protection.
